6 “Green” and Eco Website Designs for Inspiration
We were approached to create a website for a “green” company, specialising in eco-friendly products in the home and DIY industry. We started out with business cards printed on recycled paper, and went on to brainstorm a full website design based around the feel of “green” and “eco” concepts.
Below are some great inspirational designs we found whilst doing research. These incorporate both the colour green in fresh, environmentally friendly concepts, as well as the overall idea of “eco-friendly” and “green” marketing.
Leaves, trees and plants provide effective elements to give across the feel of nature and a clean, green brand. Lipton uses this successfully in their Green Tea website design.
Using natural colours and textures in the design, RX Balance has used a brown colour scheme and eco-friendly look and feel for their website.
Ecoki has gone through a number of different website designs, but has always maintained the eco look and feel. Their current website features recycled paper textures and cutouts throught the design.
Even the Ecoki iPhone App’s website has an eco-friendly look and feel. The design features a nature landscape in the background, and a cup of tea and tea leaves in the design to relate to the “eco-lifestyle”.
This site is plain and simple, and gets the “eco” message across effectively, by using watercolour nature elements in the design.
Also a clean and simple website, Cama Organic uses neutral browns and greens to get the organic feel across. We like the soft green pastel colour they have used to highlight features on the home page.
Take a look at the websites we created for our client:
We used leaves and wood to bring across the eco-friendly look and feel in the design we provided. We then trained the client to manage their own website content.
The website header features paper and nature elements for an environmentally friendly concept.
